New Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs), two-page SES resumes, and Interview Prep

Today, CareerPro Global announced that it has completed extensive analysis on the new SES application requirements released on May 29th, 2025

The company has decades of experience in developing SES applications and is now offering one-on-one support and agency training on writing the new ECQ summaries, developing effective two-page resumes, and preparing for SES interviews.

Although applicants do not have to submit narrative essays to OPM for review anymore, we are still recommending that they use our proven process (with updated builders/tools/samples) to draft summaries for each of their ECQ examples.

Aspiring executives will get a lot of value on multiple levels from working through our ECQ development process, including:

  • A powerful interview prep tool
  • Enhanced self-awareness about how their recent experience lines up with the new ECQs and competencies
  • Written ECQ summaries they can share with mentors/executives for discussion and developmental opportunities

Additionally, with the new two-page requirement for resumes, it is more challenging than ever to develop an accomplishment-driven and tailored resume. Our engaging, tactical approach enhances students’ ability to self-reflect/assess by thinking deeply about some of their top accomplishments and impacts, and to align their resumes with job requirements. Finally, concise and effective resumes can help to identify the next generation of leaders within an organization.

CareerPro Global’s Managing Editor, Mr. Lee Kelley, says that “now is the time for aspiring executives to be resilient and adapt to the new ECQ, resume, and interview requirements, just as they will need to embody a growth mindset in their SES roles.”
